Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2026 for Dropshippers: Checklist

Black Friday (27 November) and Cyber Monday (30 November) 2026 dropshipping checklist: a four-week timeline, pricing and EU discount rules, stock sync, shipping cut-offs and fulfilment.

Black Friday falls on 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday on 30 November, so from today you have about a month. For a dropshipper the sale is not only a marketing event: it is a test of pricing, stock accuracy and fulfilment speed, and the mistakes (overselling, thin margins, late parcels) cost the most when traffic peaks. This checklist turns the month into a plan. For what to sell, read our guide to best dropshipping products for Christmas and Q4 2026.

    1. Choose what to discount, and what not to

Discount products that already sell, not products you have never tested. A sale multiplies demand you already have; it rarely creates it. Look at your orders from the last 30 to 60 days, keep the best sellers and add two or three products with high perceived value as hero offers. Avoid discounting products with thin margins or slow delivery: a late Black Friday order is a refund, not a customer. For ideas, see how to find winning products.

    2. Protect your margin with your price rules

Work out the lowest price you can sell at before you announce any discount. Build the Drop calculates your selling price from the supplier cost, shipping and your margin with a price rule. For the products on offer, use a per-product override (a custom price or a custom markup), which takes priority over the default rule of your space, and remove it when the sale ends. Check the result for each product after VAT and payment fees, and write down the date you will go back to the normal price.

If you sell in the EU, announcing discounts has rules. When you advertise a price reduction, the previous price you show must be the lowest price you charged in the 30 days before the reduction (the EU Omnibus rules; member states apply them with some variations). Raising prices in October to cut them in November is a risk, so keep a clean price history. This is general information, not legal advice.

    3. Keep stock accurate when traffic peaks

Overselling is the most expensive mistake of a sale: the customer pays, the supplier is out of stock and you refund during your busiest week. Build the Drop's automatic stock sync runs once a day on the Free plan, twice a day on Starter, four times a day on Pro and every hour on Business. If your best sellers move fast, check that your plan's frequency is enough, and review the list of promoted products again the day before the sale.

    4. Fulfil orders the same day

Black Friday orders arrive in bursts. On Free and Starter you place each AliExpress order with one click; on Pro and Business, auto-pay can place them automatically once it is set up (PayPal linked to your AliExpress account and 'Auto-place orders' turned on). Set it up and test it with a real order before the sale, not during it.

    5. Set honest delivery expectations

Carriers slow down in peak season. Show the estimated delivery per country on product pages and in the cart, and use the cut-off method from the Christmas guide: count back from 24 December using the slowest end of the estimate. AliExpress shipping times and options lists typical times by method, and for any offer that promises Christmas delivery prefer products stocked in Europe (see fast-shipping suppliers in Europe).

    6. Prepare support, ads and your store

    • Update your shipping and returns policy before the sale. EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal on online purchases, counted from when they receive the goods.
    • Write answers to the questions you will get most (where is my order, delivery time, returns, payment methods, discounts) and put them in your FAQ and order emails.
    • Test checkout on a phone with every payment method and every discount code, in each country you sell to.
    • Ad costs usually rise around Black Friday because more advertisers compete for the same audiences, so set daily budget limits and judge campaigns by profit per order, not by clicks.
    • Check that tracking numbers reach your store, so customers receive their shipping emails.

    After Cyber Monday

Reset the prices you discounted and review which products made money after discounts, fees and refunds. Then move to Christmas: show delivery cut-off dates, promote products with fast delivery and keep stock sync running. Process returns quickly, because they arrive in the weeks that follow.

    Final checklist

    1. 1Shortlist the products you will discount and check each one is in stock with a delivery time you can honour.
    2. 2Set the sale price of each product (price rule or product override) and check the margin after VAT and fees.
    3. 3Note the lowest price of the last 30 days for every discounted product, for the EU previous-price rule.
    4. 4Check that stock sync frequency suits your best sellers and that the products are connected to your store.
    5. 5Set up and test auto-pay (Pro and Business), or decide who places the orders each day.
    6. 6Update delivery estimates, shipping policy and returns policy.
    7. 7Test checkout, discount codes and payment methods on mobile.
    8. 8Schedule emails and ads with daily budget limits and a stop date.

Which stores does Build the Drop support?
Build the Drop connects to Shopify, WooCommerce (WordPress) and PrestaShop. You need an active store on one of them to get started. On the Free and Starter plans you can connect one store at a time (Shopify, WooCommerce or PrestaShop); Pro and Business let you connect multiple stores.
