Automatic stock sync explained
Understand how automatic stock sync works in Build the Drop, how often it runs on each plan, and what happens when supplier stock changes.
What automatic stock sync does
Automatic stock sync keeps your imported products aligned with supplier availability on AliExpress. Instead of checking stock manually, Build the Drop monitors imported products and updates connected stores when supplier stock changes.
How often stock sync runs by plan
Stock update frequency depends on your subscription plan. FREE includes 1 stock update per day, Starter includes 2 per day, Pro includes 4 per day, and Business includes unlimited stock updates. Higher plans are better for stores that need faster reaction time when supplier inventory changes.
What happens when stock changes on AliExpress
When Build the Drop detects a stock change for an imported product, it compares the latest supplier data with the existing product state. If nothing changed, nothing is pushed. If stock changed, the platform prepares the update for your connected store so your catalog stays more accurate.
How updates reach Shopify
If a product is connected to a Shopify store, Build the Drop pushes the new stock state to Shopify after a real change is detected. This helps reduce overselling and keeps your storefront availability closer to the supplier's real inventory.
What out-of-stock means for orders
If a product goes out of stock at the supplier, it can affect your ability to fulfill new orders reliably. Existing orders still need review, especially if the supplier stock changed after the customer purchased. This is why frequent stock sync matters most for fast-moving products and higher-volume stores.
