Spaces and multi-store management
Learn what a space is, how to use multiple spaces for different brands or markets, and how team roles and store connections work.
What a space is
A space is an independent workspace inside Build the Drop. It groups together one Shopify store, one AliExpress account, pricing rules, and imported products. Think of it as the operating unit for one store setup or one brand.
Why you might create multiple spaces
Multiple spaces are useful when you run different brands, target different countries, or want separate pricing strategies for different markets. For example, you can keep one space for a US store and another for a European store without mixing products, settings, or pricing rules.
Space-level configuration
Each space has its own configuration, including currency, locale, country, and default price rule. This lets you tailor product pricing and store behavior to the market you are serving. Keeping these settings separate helps you localize your operations more cleanly.
Team member roles inside a space
Spaces support team members with roles such as owner, admin, and member. Owners usually control the space at the highest level, admins help manage operations, and members get more limited access based on the team's workflow. Team access can also reflect whether a member is currently active.
Connecting stores and suppliers
Each space is designed to connect a Shopify store with an AliExpress account so product import, pricing, and fulfillment data stay organized. Once a store is connected, imported products from that space can be published to that specific Shopify setup.
Best way to organize your account
Create a new space when you need separate branding, different currencies, a different supplier account, or a different operational team. Keeping stores in dedicated spaces makes it easier to manage products, pricing, and permissions without creating confusion across multiple businesses.
